1. Definitions
BilingualEpub: trade name of [FILL IN], based in [FILL IN], Chamber of Commerce number [FILL IN].
Customer: the natural or legal person who buys a product.
Product: a bilingual EPUB file or comparable digital edition we offer through this website.
2. Applicability
These terms apply to every offer and agreement between BilingualEpub and the customer. Deviations only after written consent.
3. Offer and agreement
Offers are non-binding. The agreement is concluded once the customer confirms the order and payment is received.
4. Prices and payment
Prices on the website are in euros and include VAT. For consumers within the EU, the VAT rate of your country of residence is applied (Stripe Tax); the final amount is shown at checkout. Payment is via iDEAL, Bancontact, SEPA direct debit or credit card through our payment service provider Stripe. Refusal, chargeback or failed direct debit voids the agreement by operation of law.
5. Delivery
Immediately after payment you receive a download link by email. Should delivery not succeed within 1 hour, contact us via the contact page.
6. Right of withdrawal
For digital content not delivered on a tangible medium, the statutory 14-day right of withdrawal (art. 6:230o Dutch Civil Code) does not apply once performance has begun with your express prior consent and your acknowledgement that you thereby lose your right of withdrawal (art. 6:230p sub g Dutch Civil Code). At checkout you tick a box explicitly to that effect; without that consent we do not deliver the download.
Notwithstanding the above: should the file be technically defective or fail to open on a usual e-reader, we replace or refund. See our refund policy.
7. Copyright
The original work is in the public domain in the jurisdiction in which we offer it. The translation, foreword, glossary, layout and illustrations of this edition are our own intellectual property.
The customer obtains a personal, non-transferable license to read the product and store it on their own e-readers. Commercial distribution, resale or inclusion in derivative works without written consent is not allowed.
8. Liability
BilingualEpub is only liable for direct damages up to the amount of the order. We are not liable for indirect damage, consequential damage or lost profit.
9. Complaints and dispute resolution
Complaints about a product or service should be filed within reasonable time (14 days at the latest from receipt) via the contact page. We confirm receipt within 5 working days and respond substantively within 14 days. If we cannot resolve the complaint together, you may turn to ConsuWijzer (consuwijzer.nl), the dispute committee we may be affiliated with, or the European ODR platform (ec.europa.eu/consumers/odr).
10. Applicable law
Dutch law applies to this agreement. Disputes are submitted to the competent court in Amsterdam.
